The agreement between you and Optix when you use the app.Updated Oct 30, 2026
Not investment advice
Optix is educational. Nothing on Optix is investment, financial, tax or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security, option or event contract. You decide every trade, and you approve every real-money order.
1.This agreement
These terms apply when you use Optix: the website, the app and Optix’s connection for AI agents. By creating an account or using Optix, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use Optix.
The Challenge rules and the Privacy policy are part of these terms.
2.What Optix is
Optix is an educational tool for trading options and event contracts. You write down a thesis, see the chance the market gives it, and get graded on your decision.
Optix is not a broker, an investment adviser or an exchange. It doesn’t hold your money or your securities. Real-money trades happen in your own brokerage or exchange account, under that firm’s terms.
3.Not investment advice
Optix is educational. Nothing on Optix is investment, financial, tax or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security, option or event contract. You decide every trade, and you approve every real-money order.
Grades, ratings, levels, suggested sizes, the market’s chance and anything an AI agent tells you through Optix are information for learning. None of it is a recommendation to buy or sell anything, and none of it takes your whole financial situation into account.
Options and event contracts can lose all the money you put in. Read the Risk disclosure before you trade.
4.Your account
- You must be 18 or older to create an account.
- One account per person. Keep your sign-in to yourself: you’re responsible for what happens under your account.
- Give accurate information, and keep your email address current so we can reach you.
5.Orders and connected accounts
Optix never trades on its own. An Optix Paper order is placed when you tap Place order, when you approve an order your AI agent prepared, or when an automatic rule you turned on for an AI agent sends it. A real-money order is placed only after you approve it, at your broker, in the trading ticket or on the page where you review your AI agent’s order.
When you connect a brokerage or exchange account, you let Optix read its positions, orders, fills and balances to keep your record. You can disconnect it at any time on the Accounts page.
Your broker or exchange decides whether an order fills and at what price. Optix isn’t responsible for their systems, fees or decisions.
6.Optix Paper and the challenge
Optix Paper accounts and challenge accounts use simulated money at real market prices. Nothing you do there moves real money, and a simulated fill doesn’t tell you how a real order would have filled.
The challenge follows the Challenge rules.
7.AI agents
You can connect an AI agent to Optix. It acts with the access you grant: it can read your record and, with trade access, prepare orders. You’re responsible for what you authorize, and you can revoke an agent at any time on the Agents page.
8.What you post
Your theses, reviews and profile are yours. A thesis you write is public unless you make it private; a trade Optix reads from your accounts starts private. Public theses show on your profile, and anyone with the link can see them.
You let Optix store and show what you post, in the app and on share cards, while it’s public.
Don’t post anything unlawful, anyone else’s private information, spam, or anything meant to move a market, such as promoting a stock you’re about to sell.
9.Fair use
- Don’t copy or scrape Optix’s pages or data in bulk.
- Don’t try to get into other people’s accounts or Optix’s systems, or get around limits, the challenge’s rules included.
- Don’t use a second account to get ahead on the leaderboard or in the challenge.
- Don’t use Optix to break the law or anyone’s rights.
10.Market data
Prices, chances, news and calendars come from other companies, including Alpaca, Yahoo Finance, Kalshi and Nasdaq. They can be late, wrong or missing. Optix labels a price that isn’t live, but don’t rely on Optix as your only source before you trade.
11.Paid plans
If you pay for a plan, Stripe processes the payment. The price and how it renews are shown before you pay, and you can cancel from Settings.
12.Ending your account
You can stop using Optix at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and remove what it posted.
13.No guarantees
Optix is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and running, but we don’t promise it will be free of errors or always available.
Your trading decisions and their results are yours. As far as the law allows, Optix isn’t liable for trading losses, or for losses caused by late, wrong or missing data.
14.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and we’ll tell you before a significant change applies.
